Many of our agents have known us as RIC Insurance General Agency over the years. In 2018 we merged with Worldwide Facilities, LLC and in 2021, Worldwide Facilities, LLC merged with Amwins Group.  Hence, today we are all part of Amwins Group, the largest wholesale broker in the United States.

As a result of these mergers, we have business with agents in a legacy agency management system (Nexsure). This memo is intended to provide you with a high-level overview of our plans to integrate our Non-CA State Fund commercial & personal lines policies from Nexsure into Amwins Access Insurance Services, LLC agency management system (AmLink) on November 13, 2023. Our CA State Fund Workers’ Compensation policies will remain in Nexsure aligned to our Santa Rosa, CA team who places and services them.

The integration of our Non-CA State Fund workers comp policies will result in some changes which are outlined below. We will continue to provide regular updates & more detailed FAQ’s as we get closer to the November 13, 2023, integration date. This guidance is meant to provide a high-level update for our retail agents at this time. 

We will change our RIC Insurance General Agency or Worldwide Facilities, LLC agency name with the carriers we transact business with to Amwins Access Insurance Services, LLC. Amwins Access Insurance Services, LLC is the small business division of Amwins, and our legacy agency names will sunset. In addition, will also make several changes to our legacy RIC website as we transition available information to our Amwins Access website.  

Policy level documents for CA State Fund policies and associated commission statements for this business will continue to be available on our Nexsure portal. However, as we transition the non-CA State Fund business into the Amwins’ system (AmLink), policy level documents will be delivered to the email address we have on file for your agency. In addition, commissions will be deposited in your bank account on file or sent to you via check if we do not have your bank information, and remittance notices will be sent to your agency for policies in AmLink by Amwins Accounting post November 13, 2023.

We are reviewing our retail agency relationships / books of business and will align every agent to an Amwins Access production team specializing in admitted commercial or personal lines placements. In some instances, retail agents will continue to work with the same production team they are working with today. In other instances, we will align our retail agents to other highly experienced commercial or personal lines admitted production teams. 

We partner with retail agents across the country; However, CA agents will receive additional communication regarding the integration of our legacy RIC/Worldwide Facilities policies transitioning to Amwins Access Insurance Services, LLC (AmLink system) and associated monthly membership dues. We are sharing our value proposition and relevant information on this topic with CA agents now.
