Today RIDOT kicked off the 2022 construction season by breaking ground on the Route 146 Project in North Smithfield. It will make greatly needed improvements to the Route 146 corridor, including a new flyover bridge to carry Route 146 over Sayles Hill Road – eliminating the only traffic light on all of Route 146. The project will make travel on Route 146 safer and reduce congestion which will reduce vehicle emissions.
Overnight work on the I-95 North Viaduct will require ramp closures within the Exit 22 interchange, along with left lane closures on I-95 between Exit 22 and 23. Please follow signed detours.
