RIF of NOVA liaisons make book distributions happen!
Patrick Henry girl, book table
Thanks to school librarian Stefany Guido from Alexandria's Patrick Henry Elementary School...

...these fourth graders took part in "Plant a Seed...Read!"  During this RIF of NOVA book distribution, the children made bookmarks about seeds, plants, and spring flowers, and many chose books with thoughts of spring planting in mind!
Randolph ES Clifford
Randolph Elementary School's Janette Mason...

...invited Clifford for Read Across America Day!  Clifford greeted students and families with a wave and a hug.  Guest readers from the local community and the military visited the Arlington school to share their love of reading.  Younger students picked RIF books featuring Max and Ruby and Pete the Cat. The older set went for novels, nonfiction titles, and fantasy.
The kids were CRAZY for BOOKS at Woodley Hills Elementary School!
It was School Spirit Week at Woodley Hills Elementary School of Fairfax County during the "Crazy for Books" RIF parties.  These kindergartners picked out their RIF books on Crazy Hat...

...and Crazy Hair day!  Thanks to RIF of NOVA liaisons Marion Eckhause and Mary Kate DeRose, for such craziness!
Thanks to Groveton Elementary School's RIF of NOVA liaisons, Kathleen Bodie and Markeen Sutter, fourth graders at this Fairfax County school were able to pick out their RIF books as a part of March's Dr. Seuss celebrations.
The students watched a Dr. Seuss film on recycling to help with a persuasive writing project on the topic. The top RIF book selections of the day included biographies about Abraham Lincoln and books on snakes (Euwww!)
The annual "Liaison Lunch"...a great time to thank our dedicated and oh-so-creative liaisons!
RIF of NOVA board member Paula Powell explains the book ordering process to RIF of NOVA school and center liaisons during the April 5 liaison thank you lunch.
