A Message from the Superintendent

Dear Ramapo Indian Hills Families,

Welcome to the final district newsletter of 2025! As one year comes to a close and a fresh, new one awaits us, I extend my sincere appreciation to our students, staff, families, and community members for your continued partnership, engagement, and support of our schools. It is a true privilege to serve a district where collaboration and care for one another are so clearly evident every day.

I also wish to thank our Board of Education for their dedicated service throughout the year. Their leadership, collaboration, and governance are essential to advancing our shared goals and supporting the success and well-being of our students.

Please be reminded that all school and district offices will close at 1:00 p.m. on December 23 and will reopen on January 5.

From my home to yours, warm wishes for a joyful, peaceful holiday season and a healthy, happy new year.

Warmly,

Shauna DeMarco

Ramapo Soccer Coach Named Coach of the Year

Huge congratulations to Coach Evan Baumgarten from the Boys Soccer team for being named Coach of the Year in the Big North Conference! What an incredible season it’s been for the boys, finishing with an awesome record of 21-1. They not only clinched the Big North League Championship but also took home the State Sectional Championship, Bergen County Championship, and the NJSIAA Group 3 State Championship! With 40 years of leading the Ramapo Boys Soccer Program and over 600 wins under his belt, Coach Baumgarten truly deserves this recognition. Way to go, Coach!

Wrestling Wins

Our Junior Varsity (JV) wrestlers headed over to Ridgefield Park for an early-season JV wrestling tournament, and they brought home some HARDWARE!

Jordan Madonna and JD Ferrary both took home 1st Place in their weight class. Griffin DiMasi took home a 2nd Place finish, and John Scifano finished in 3rd Place in his weight class.

Excellent job!
