| | A Model for Success: RIH Model UN Teams Excel | | |
On February 5th and 6th, the Model United Nations teams from Ramapo and Indian Hills High Schools demonstrated exceptional diplomacy and leadership at AMUN XXVII, a regional conference hosted by Bergen County Academies.
Representing nations from around the globe, our students collaborated to draft resolutions on pressing global issues like weapon trafficking and sustainable technology. The event featured distinguished speakers, including U.S. House Representative Josh Gottheimer and Fair Lawn Mayor Cristina Cutrone, who highlighted the importance of student voices in today’s world.
Collectively, our students earned 14 awards and commendations, with Indian Hills High School receiving the prestigious Outstanding Small Delegation award. Special recognition goes to our individual "Best Delegate" winners, Leia Gomez and Finn McCarthy (Ramapo), and Julia Coppo (Indian Hills). You can watch a full five minute highlight video by clicking this link - and get some of the sights and sounds of the event! Congratulations to all our delegates for their hard work and dedication!
