A Message from the Superintendent

Dear Ramapo Indian Hills Families,

What an exciting week for our schools!

Congratulations to Ramapo Football and Soccer Teams on their recent victories! We are rooting for you as your post-season continues!

Beyond athletics, our students continue to shine! Whether they're learning by exploring the New York Stock Exchange, expressing their creative spirit with autumn-inspired artwork, or rebuilding PCs in Computer Anatomy class, their hard work and dedication make us proud every day.

Wishing you a safe and gratitude-filled Thanksgiving holiday.

Warmly,

Shauna DeMarco

Superintendent, Ramapo Indian Hills Regional High School District

Students Visit the New York Stock Exchange

The Indian Hills UP program and the Stock Market Club experienced a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity this month: an exclusive tour of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE)!

The tour was hosted by the legendary "Einstein of Wall Street," Peter Tuchman, who shared captivating stories about life on the trading floor, how the NYSE has evolved, and how markets respond to major events like a crash. This experience provided students with unparalleled, first-hand insights into the heart of global finance.

Art Imitates the Season

The Indian Hills High School Art Gallery is feeling like fall.

Taking inspiration from the season, students submitted their interpretations of what what autumn prompts them to create. Some of the pieces were submitted for Inscape’s Autumn Art Contest.

We are highlighting a few below.

They are:

(top left) Emily Mendoza, Fallen Leaves, Watercolor

(bottom left) Kamila Martinez, Squirrel on a Stump, Acrylic on Canvas

(top right) Luke Render, The Silence Beneath the Burnt Sky, Paint on Canvas

(bottom right) Aiden Wands, Untitled, Digital

Computer Anatomy Class Gets Hands-On

Ms. Greene’s Period 5 Computer Anatomy class took on the complete dismantling and rebuilding of personal computers (PCs).

This hands-on experience moves beyond diagrams and theory, allowing students to gain an intimate, functional understanding of computer hardware. It teaches technical skills, troubleshooting, and the meticulous process required for computer maintenance and repair.
