A Message from the Superintendent

Dear Ramapo Indian Hills Families,

We are settling into a new school year with such positive momentum across Ramapo Indian Hills. Our students and staff have really embraced new routines with flexibility and purpose: from impressive early-season victories on the athletic fields to thoughtful moments of community remembrance and student leadership, this year is off to a remarkable start.

September is Attendance Awareness Month. We ask our families to continue partnering with us by making regular, on-time attendance a priority and reaching out whenever your child may need additional support. Remember, we are here to help!

Whether we are strengthening instruction, expanding opportunities, improving our facilities, or collaborating with our municipal and community partners, our focus remains clear: creating the best possible experience for every student. Fall Sports Roundup

Ramapo opened its 2026–27 fall season with strong, confident performances across the board. Both soccer programs earned impressive victories over Fair Lawn. The RHS Girls team secured a dramatic 1–0 win on a late penalty kick. RHS Boys scored five second‑half goals to close out their match early. Girls Volleyball delivered a statement win on the road, rallying from a 23–17 deficit to defeat powerhouse Demarest, while Football energized a packed home crowd with a solid Thursday‑night victory over Ridgewood. Girls Tennis continued its opening‑week momentum and celebrated senior Gianna Lepore’s selection to the BCWCA Singles Tournament. Cross Country is set to launch its season at Darlington Park, where the team’s trademark enthusiasm will be on full display. We congratulate all on a spirited and successful first week—one that reflects the hard work of our student‑athletes and promises an exciting season ahead.

Indian Hills opened its 2026–27 fall season with a strong first week, highlighted by the Girls Soccer team’s commanding 5–0 victory over West Milford. The Boys Cross Country team earned an impressive 2nd-place finish in their first varsity race, led by standout performances from several younger runners. The IH football team already has a 2–1 record while adjusting to a new league, playing with confidence and discipline. Girls Volleyball and Girls Tennis continue to build momentum with multiple matches ahead this week as they work toward their first wins of the season. Altogether, it was an encouraging opening stretch for the Braves—one that reflects the athletes’ hard work and sets a positive tone for the season ahead.

Our Campuses Welcome and Remember

The start of the 2026–27 school year was marked by thoughtful touches across the district, blending celebration with remembrance. At Indian Hills, vibrant fall mums and seasonal displays welcomed students back, while Ramapo’s entrance sign set an encouraging tone for the year ahead. Most meaningful of all was the 9/11 memorial sign honoring some of those lost 25 years ago—a solemn reminder of the community’s enduring strength and the importance of carrying their legacy forward.

Raising their Voices

Members of the Indian Hills High School Choir performed the National Anthem as part of Oakland's commemoration ceremony of the September 11th terrorist attacks. The 25th anniversary service, held in Veterans Park honored all those we lost that day.

Be Brave T-Shirt Sale

Indian Hills Girld Basketball team wearing their Be Brave fundraising tee shirts. Each year they sell the shirts to raise money to donate to the Breast Center at Valley Hospital.

Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness

The Indian Hills Girls’ Basketball Team is once again conducting their "Be Brave" t-shirt fundraiser.

For the past 14 years, our student-athletes have proudly organized this initiative to support breast cancer research and care, donating a portion of all proceeds directly to the Breast Center at Valley Hospital.

Now through September 23rd, students will be taking orders for a short-sleeved light blue "Be Brave" shirt. Each is priced at $20. The team members are competing to see who can sell the most shirts, so be sure to reach out to a team member to place your order!

Once the fundraiser wraps up and the shirts arrive in mid-October, we will share a follow-up feature showcasing the team's total fundraising and a special shoutout to the student who sold the most t-shirts. Thank you for supporting both our athletes and a great cause!
