Message From The ED
Dear RIHEBC community:
Happy Summer! I hope you are enjoying the season staycationing in beautiful Rhode Island or vacationing wherever your travels take you.
We at RIHEBC have spent our summer so far handing out BIG checks, hitting the road for our RHODE Trips, and closing DEALS.
These fun summer activities are described in the newsletter below.
Email me at kmooers@rihebc.com and name just ONE of the institutions we “big checked”, Rhode Tripped to, or closed a deal with, during Q2, and you will win a sturdy RIHEBC grocery bag and a magnetic RIHEBC letter opener. How exciting is that?
You know what else is fun? HELPing others. Please check out our new HELP loan program to see if it might benefit you or an organization you know. Here is the link to our website: rihebc.com/help.
And on to the rest of summer! Baseball, hotdogs, apple pie, and . . . RIHEBC!
Sincerely,
Kim Mooers

Rhode Trip Stop #4 – Blackstone Valley Prep Mayoral Academy
On June 8th, the RIHEBC team resumed our summer Rhode Trip series with a visit to Blackstone Valley Prep. Jenn, Dina and Kim stopped by the Network Office at 310 Broad Street in Cumberland to chat with Christine Losea, the CFO of BVP, and Sarah Anderson, CEO and Superintendent. Christine then piled all of us into her Rhode-worthy vehicle and took us to BVP Junior High School on Lonsdale Avenue in Central Falls, and the Upper Elementary School on Fairlawn Way in Lincoln, both of which were financed by BVP’s most recent RIHEBC bond issue. It was great to see the students in action at both schools and to catch up on all the latest news with BVP, all on a beautiful, almost-summer day.
