Keely M. Abbas
Assistant Vice President- Business Development
Crawford & Company
Why did you join RIMS Washington (i.e. community, education, networking, career requirement) and what are you hoping to get out of your membership?
I have been with Crawford since 2014 starting as an adjuster in MT, making my way to PNW in 2016 on the sales side. I am always looking for ways to expand my career with networking, education, helping the community and helping our customers out. I joined the local WA RIMS for many reasons which include expanding my industry network in the PNW, helping the community with local events put on through RIMS as well as hoping to make some career connections to see how we can partner in any way and continuing to learn about industry trends.
Describe your career path and current role.
I started my career as a work comp paralegal in my hometown of Great Falls, Montana back in 2007. Crawford hired me as a trainee multi-line adjuster in 2014 and after two years promoted me to business development relocating me to Seattle, WA. My current role is AVP of Business Development covering most of the Western states from WA all the way to Colorado down with a mix of other states thrown in pending on where clients have business in. I love selling a suite of services that we can tailor to our clients’ needs, traveling to meet so many different people from all over and learning about everyone and their business needs as well.
What is a local charity with a cause you support that you’d like to highlight?
After the loss of my 15-year-old big boy - Champy, watching Itty Bitty Kitty Committee Rescue and what they do for rescues and fosters helped me grieve and gave me some good laughs. I really appreciate all they do for the local community with animal rescues; it takes a special kind to do what they do.

Tyler Anderson
VP Business Development
Entrusted Administrators & Subrogation LLC
Why did you join RIMS Washington (i.e. community, education, networking, career requirement) and what are you hoping to get out of your membership?
I’m excited to join RIMS-WA as a new member. I became involved to connect with like-minded professionals who are passionate about risk management and to gain the opportunity to listen, learn, and grow through the knowledge and experience of fellow members. I believe knowledge is the key to growth, and the chance to be part of an organization as respected and insightful as RIMS-WA was reason enough for me to join the chapter.
Describe your career path and current role.
I’ve worked in the Insurance and Financial Services industries for over 20 years, holding roles that span from sales to operational leadership and everything in between. In my current role as Vice President at EAS – Entrusted Administrators and Subrogation – I focus on expanding our services and impact for Insurance Brokers, Carriers, Self-Insureds, and any organization in need of Insurance Claims TPA and Subrogation support.
What is a local charity with a cause you support that you’d like to highlight?
Outside of work, I serve on several Boards and Committees, including the Boys & Girls Clubs, Camp Fire, and multiple Native American Tribes across the Pacific Northwest. One organization I’d like to highlight is the Swinomish Tribe’s Boys & Girls Club, which provides critical support and programming to over 100 Tribal youth on the reservation and in surrounding communities.

Jessica Brase
Director of Enterprise Program Management
McKinstry
Why did you join RIMS Washington (i.e. community, education, networking, career requirement) and what are you hoping to get out of your membership?
I joined RIMS to deepen my connection with the broader risk management community and to stay current on best practices and emerging trends. I'm especially interested in learning from peers and thought leaders as I continue to build out my company’s enterprise risk management framework.
Describe your career path and current role.
Throughout my career, I’ve managed risk in many different capacities—whether serving as a CFO/COO, launching a new product and business, or leading cross-functional initiatives. I consider myself a builder at heart and enjoy working collaboratively to turn concepts into reality. I was intentional about joining McKinstry because of their strong commitment to people and community, and I’m excited to be helping shape their Enterprise Risk Management framework as part of that mission.
What is a local charity with a cause you support that you’d like to highlight? (include website link if available)
I recently volunteered with Treehouse, an incredible nonprofit that empowers youth in foster care to thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally. Their team is deeply committed, and the impact they have on our community is inspiring. I encourage everyone to learn more about their work and consider getting involved.
