The Bishop was informed this morning of the death of Cecilia Fordham. Cecilia was a leader in this Diocese including serving on many committees and as the President of the Standing Committee. As a member of the Parish of St. Clement (and Preschool) Honolulu, since 1962, she served in many leadership roles and was the long serving Senior Warden. She was a pivotal member of the Board of Camp Mokulēʻia during a time of transition and reorganization. She is remembered at ʻIolani School as a teacher and administrator for 28 years (1967-95), and throughout the community for her involvement in theatre and film. Cecilia was awarded the Bishop’s Cross in 2015 for her service to the Diocese and community.
Her husband, Hank, predeceased her. Please keep her children and grandchildren in your prayers.
Service times are pending.
ALMIGHTY AND ETERNAL GOD, to whom there is never any prayer made without hope of mercy, be merciful to the soul of your faithful servant, Cecilia, being departed from this world in the confession of your Holy Name that she and all the departed may be welcomed into the company of your saints, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Rest eternal grant her, O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon her. May our sister, Cecilia, rest in peace. Amen.
