State’s Arts Agency receives national grant for creative aging arts program


We are thrilled to announce that RISCA is one of 28 states to receive a national grant of $77,500 to advance creative-aging programs for older adults in the state. The grant is from a joint venture between the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies and E.A. Michelson Philanthropy.

Opening Reception in the Atrium Gallery, March 26


The "Providence Public Schools' Student Art Exhibition" features artworks by students who attend Providence's public schools. You are invited to the "Opening Reception" on March 26, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Atrium Gallery, One Capitol Hill, Providence.


The event is free and open to the public.

Arts and Health Network Planning and Visioning Session, March 27


Come take part in a morning of collaboration and big‑picture thinking on March 27, 10–11:30 a.m., at The Carter Center, R.I. Philharmonic Orchestra and Music School, 667 Waterman Ave., East Providence.


Open to artists, creatives, health professionals, educators, researchers, caregivers, and anyone interested in the intersection of arts and health. Participants will help shape a shared vision for the future of arts and health in Rhode Island and learn about current work happening across the state.


Free parking is available on site. Light snacks will be provided.

Mix and Mingle: Arts and Health, April 8


Join us for an evening of creative connections and community building on April 8, 6–7:30 p.m., Teatro ECAS Theater, 57 Parkis Ave., Providence.



Open to artists, creatives, health professionals, and other innovators who believe in the power of the arts to engage communities and improve well-being. Participants will leave with ideas, connections, and resources related to arts and health.

Arts Day at the State House 2026, April 28


Rhode Island State Council on the Arts hosts its second Arts Day since the pandemic. Stop by this arts and cultural community event at the R.I. State House at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28.
