RiverView Apartment Utility Installation Housing Trust on Schedule for June

The RiverView development has finished boring under Highway 64 for water utilities and anticipates connecting wastewater by the end of April. The Housing Trust foresees receiving its Certificate of Occupancy for its two buildings in May and will begin occupying its apartments in June. The formal application process for the Housing Trust's portion will begin in April.

Big Sky Bandage Available Helping Make Health Care Affordable

APPLY NOW Big Sky Bandage, a new nonprofit, will cover up to $500 of the cost of acute medical care provided by the B2 Urgent Care Clinic at Big Sky Resort, Mountain Pearls Dentistry, Big Sky Eyes, and the Big Sky Medical Center. Amy Vance, a nurse practitioner who started at the B2 Clinic at the Resort in 2023, launched the nonprofit with administrative support from Moonlight Community Foundation, Yellowstone Club Community Foundation, and Spanish Peaks Community Foundation.

Lone Mountain Land Company In 2023, LMLC partnered with the Housing Trust to update the Big Sky Community Housing Needs Assessment. They engaged WSW Consulting, which created the 2018 Big Sky Housing Action Plan, to gain deeper insights into how rapid population growth and a doubling of property values during the pandemic have affected the community's housing needs. The 2023 Update reveals that Big Sky needs 1,354 additional homes by 2028 to meet current demand and keep up with job growth.

Because of this, park employees have to commute long distances between work and home, leading to difficulties in recruitment and retainment.
