China & Amazon

I purchased a phone case and a bag for my bicycle last week. Both MADE IN CHINA, What a ya gonna do?

At least you know where your luggage is manufactured …. Right?

Here's the deal, they were both less than 20 bucks, they shipped for free and I got them the NEXT DAY!!

How is this done? It seems that Amazon and all the big outlets have some kind of a deal with USPS, Fed EX, and UPS.

This is no match for my China made bicycle bags and phone case that were shipped next day AM for free.

Our FedEx agent says we are getting a deal, and frogs have wings.

$25.00 to $40.00 is an example of what we pay to ship a product to the other side.

Over the last couple of years this price has increased at an unbelievable rate.

They all charge on dimensional weight, which means box size. Our products are light but require a good sized box. So size over weight 99% of the time.

Raw Material

RKA only uses USA based companies for all our material, buckles, zippers etc and these prices have increased 5% to 20% over the last few years

Labor Costs

The one thing we have no issue with. I wish we could afford to pay our help double of what we do…..

BUT….

What we do pay them now is a hundred times more than an overseas worker makes. We pay a living wage here.

The other guys

You may want to take a look at the other motorcycle products out there.

And I mean the BIG-name companies you know. Where are their textile products made?

Most are overseas and they are getting the $2.00 an hour labor, and then most of the time charging MORE for a comparable product.

RKA thinks we make the best, most functional products out there at a fair price.
