 RLA Receives 10 Golden Apple Nominations!

Dear RLS Family and Friends:
Congratulations to the 10 RLA teachers who received Golden Apple nominations today!
Golden Apple Foundation is a volunteer-driven organization that celebrates, inspires and supports educational excellence in our community. Local founders, Don Zimmerman and Dr. Richard Novak, took a common passion for education and turned it into a collective community effort by mobilizing volunteers to recognize excellence in teaching.
Since 1997, the Golden Apple Foundation has grown from honoring teachers in one school district to honoring teachers, principals and volunteers in more than 150 schools, both public and non-public, in Winnebago and Boone counties.
Rockford Lutheran School has been blessed to have three Golden Apple winners in the past as well as many Top 20 Finalists!
From here, any teacher nominated and that is eligible, can submit a portfolio packet and be considered for the award that will be presented in May of 2014.
Thank you for recognizing the amazing staff at RLA and know that we think they are ALL golden!
