A MESSAGE FROM RMHC INW DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR, TRINETTE BAER-KOWALSKI
Spring has Sprung! May is such an exciting time of year as the Inland NW comes alive with energy. The snow is melting, flowers are blooming, and the RMHC Houses are full of families, specifically mothers. Mothers who are here taking care of their child; whether it’s a newborn getting treatment in the NICU/PICU, a chronically ill child getting ongoing treatment, or one of life's unforeseen and unfortunate circumstances, RMHC INW is here to remove barriers like lodging, so they can focus on healing as a family.

Families eligible to stay here live 40+ miles away from our Spokane campus. This means the average family drives 314 miles round-trip during their stay at RMHC. Often, they are leaving other children at home with loved ones and commuting many miles and hours in an effort to keep all of life's plates spinning. One small thing that makes a big impact is help with the cost of gas.

With the help of our good friend and mother, Hayley Guenthner at KHQ, we are excited to launch Getting There. Getting There focuses on donations of gas cards to support our families. As a mother myself of the three kids above, I know the greatest gift I can receive is the opportunity to help another mother. So in honor of all the mothers, please consider making a gift and help our families with Getting There.

The people here at RMHC are amazing!! Everyone is so friendly, polite and willing to help with anything that comes up.
Why did you start working at RMHC INW?
I was looking for just part-time work after my husband passed away in Dec 2022, so when I saw the advertisement for a part-time AP/Payroll Assistant at RMHC. I just thought that working for such a good cause would be very rewarding.

I like to garden, so I am certainly ready for SPRING to really arrive. Also, I read and enjoy family!
