The American Lung Association has just marked their 120th anniversary. Founded in 1904, the nonprofit organization has had an illustrious history along with a legacy of landmark achievements in the area of public health. Some of these highlights include controlling tuberculosis, getting cigarette ads removed from TV, playing a key role in the adoption of the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990 and getting smoking prohibited on all domestic airline flights.
