Mathias attended ESTO in Phoenix and was thrilled to see Wyoming's Diane Shober awarded the 2025 State Tourism Director of the Year. We have been lucky to work with Diane for several years, and we know first-hand that this award is much-deserved! | | Lori traveled to Gillette and Upton in northern Wyoming to learn more about the energy sector in Wyoming. There are lots of exciting developments in the world of nuclear and rare earth minerals and the new job opportunities they could bring to our state. It was also eye-opening to see how these communities are doing their best for their residents' quality of life. The Wyoming Academy continues to generate new ideas for Wyoming leaders to bring back to our own communities, and Lori has loved the experience so far.

Together with Fred Walker of North Dakota Tourism, Mathias, Stacey, Ashlie and Scott visited Medora, North Dakota, site of the 2026 IRU tradeshow.
Our crew and representatives from Medora explored meeting and meal venues, fam tour attractions and lodging properties, and got a behind-the-scenes look at the new Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library, opening next summer.
IRU 2026 will be one you won’t want to miss as Great American West suppliers and overseas tour operators come together in one of the smallest, but coolest, destinations in the region. Registration opens soon, so be sure to secure your spot!

- July brought RMI Week, an in-person work session at RMI HQ in Cheyenne, Wyoming, that saw our largest team to date together for the first time. The week was filled with strategic conversations, internal organization and team-building exercises. The meetings created a large impact, fostering collaboration and strengthening interpersonal connections that are difficult to achieve remotely. We will continue to build on the energy generated over this week to better support our and our clients' initiatives.

Kim had a busy summer! She:
- Traveled back to Wyoming to see her newly retired dad fulfill his dream of no longer “teaching” band but playing in one – as he participated in a Fourth of July concert with the Casper Municipal Band as their first string sax player.
- Attended a family wedding at Curt Gowdy State Park and was able to see many family members, including her last remaining grandparent (pictured).
- Experienced the rush of whitewater rafting first-hand with our Idaho client on the Payette River with a local guide company.
- Hiked Blue Lake near the town of Cascade in Idaho with her two dogs, Nikko and Hattie – highly recommended for anyone wanting some scenery!

Evan and his wife traveled to St. Maarten, where they got to explore the island, snorkel, and spend time relaxing on the beach.
Mathias fulfilled a bucket-list vacation by taking his family on a seven-day baseball road trip through the Midwest. He dragged everyone (willingly!) to six games – featuring eight teams, in five cities, five states, and including a ferry across lake Michigan – all in seven days. It was a dream come true! | | Lori and Ashlie tried out yurt camping for the first time with their families in Guernsey State Park! They had a blast boating, swimming, and toasting marshmallows under Wyoming’s beautiful night skies.
