Empowering Leaders to Grow and Serve
RMS 2019-20 Building School Improvement Plan (BSIP)

The RMS BSIP concentrates on four main areas: Literacy, Numeracy, Attendance and Discipline. The 2019-20 RMS BSIP was developed by the RMS Leadership Team with student and staff input.

Response to Intervention (RTI) Update

On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays RMS students have been participating in either RTI or Personalized Learning Time (PLT). Our RTI focus continues to be on English Language Arts (ELA) and Math. Each cycle will continue to last three weeks (9 days) and will alternate between ELA and Math.
During personalized learning time students have been able to choose a content they have identified as being a priority. This is allowing students to take ownership in their learning and use their school time wisely.
We have completed the first round of our ELA cycle and are currently working in Math. Once both our first ELA and Math cycles are complete we will be communicating out celebrations and adjustments for this process. The growth and learning we have seen throughout this time has been inspiring! RMS has the best teachers and students!
Photo Retakes are October 25th!

If your student chooses to get picture retakes he or she will need to bring the previously purchased packet with them and provide it to the photographer on October 25.

If a student is receiving pictures for the first time, a packet can be picked up in the office. Online information will also be sent out closer to time. This information will include a code to enter when ordering online.

The Republic School District, in cooperation with Jordan Valley Community Health Center, is offering free seasonal flu vaccine  to Republic students as supply allows.

The following conditions would prevent your child from receiving flu vaccine: allergy to vaccine components and moderate or severe illnesses.

If you are interested in your child receiving the inactivated influenza vaccine (Flu Shot), please complete and sign a consent form and return to the RMS Health Office by October 15th . Jordan Valley is still processing these forms. When available, consent forms will be available through all district communication channels.

If you have additional questions about the program, please contact your school nurse.
