Virtual students will have the opportunity to take their photo between 7:45 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Masks will be required to enter the building, and parents will need to check their student in at the office.
Hybrid students will have their photo taken while they are present in the building. We will provide an opportunity at the end of each hour for hybrid students to have their photo taken.
LEAD
At RMS, we work daily toward our mission to "Empower Leaders to Grow and Serve". During our LEAD time each Monday, students participate in leadership development activities with their LEAD teacher and classmates. The first three weeks of school this year, students will remain with their LEAD class during the 7th hour period and build on a variety of technology skills related to Google apps, Chromebook, and Canvas.
At the end of the first quarter, we will hold a leadership expo. During this event, students will be able to explore the different types of LEAD teams and choose the team they will join. Beginning 4th quarter, on Mondays, students will have the opportunity to serve on their LEAD team as they share their passions and develop their leadership skills.
Response to Intervention (RTI)

Beginning September 15th, we will kick off our first RTI cycle!
On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays RMS students will participate in RTI for 30 minutes. During RTI, students will be assigned to intervention instruction based on student needs or personalized learning time. Our focus this year at RMS will be English Language Arts(ELA) and Math. Each RTI cycle will last three weeks (9 days) and each cycle will alternate between ELA and Math.
During personalized learning time students will be working on standards/assignments/projects they have identified as being a priority.
We will continue to communicate our celebrations and adjustments throughout this process and are excited to build on our students' strengths and empower their growth!
