It's GREAT in the middle!

Dear RMS Families,

We have had a strong start to the 2017-18 school year! Through the first 17 days of school our students have learned many new things and made many memories.

Teachers have introduced students to Sean Covey's, 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens, and provided them opportunities to apply these principles to their lives. Teachers and students have discussed growth mindset, paradigm shifts, and leading a principled-centered life. We will continue to examine the 7 Habits each Monday during Pride class.

Our fall sports schedules begin this week as football and volleyball have their first games and cross country has their first meet. Come out and support our RMS Tigers and Lady Tigers!

MAP Scores
Each spring students across the district participate in state assessments. We have been notified by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) that Individual Student Reports (ISR) are available. Students who are currently in grades 6-8 that completed the MAP-GLA assessment last spring will receive individual reports attached to their next progress report. A guide to interpreting your child's results will be included with the individual student report.  If you have any questions or would like to see your child's report prior to the aforementioned distribution times, please contact your child's school counselor.
Traffic Flow Reminder:
Thank you for attention to our traffic flow process at Republic Middle School! We have procedures in place to keep students safe and make your drop-off and pick-up as efficient as possible. We ask that you follow the traffic flow diagram below and if you have any questions please contact the Middle School office.
  • If you are currently using the grassy area between Republic Middle School and McDonald's (identified as the area with red X's) you will be asked to move and pull into the traffic flow area to pick up or drop off your student.
  • We will not be releasing students to cross the pick-up lane to meet their parents/guardians who are parked in the grassy area.
  • Please help us keep our students safe by using the appropriate driving and parking areas.
