Good afternoon RMS families,
I want to begin by celebrating that we have had a wildly successful 13 weeks of uninterrupted seated classes. This celebration is due in part to our amazing teachers, paraprofessionals, nurses, custodians, food service, transportation, substitutes, and entire staff for their dedication to making school happen!
Our RMS students also make up this amazing group of individuals and have shown us they are resilient and remind us of our "why". We have overcome many obstacles thus far, and find ourselves with one more challenge with learning from home, but WE CAN DO THIS TOGETHER! Our school family has worked hard to develop a schedule and a plan so that our students continue to receive live instruction and support. This plan provides us with the following:
- The ability for students to be engaged throughout the day
- The ability for students to receive immediate feedback from teachers in a remote setting
- The ability for teachers to collaborate to ensure curriculum is effectively implemented and paced
- Flexibility for families
The information you will find in this newsletter includes the daily student schedule, student information, and a student video describing both. RMS is an wonderful place with caring and student-focused people. We will continue to learn together while considering the positive possibilities.
In it together,
Allison Dishman
RMS Principal
