Idaho State Women's Basketball Headed to NCAA Tournament

After clinching the Big Sky Conference Regular Season Championship last week, the Bengals claimed the Big Sky Conference Tournament Championship for the fourth time and earned a berth in the 2021 NCAA Tournament in San Antonio, Texas. They will play fourth-seeded University of Kentucky on Sunday.

In the title game vs. Idaho, the Bengals beat the Vandals 84-49. Estefania Ors was named the Tournament MVP, while Callie Bourne and Montana Oltrogge were named to the All-Tournament Team.

Pocatello In-Person Commencement

Idaho State University invites students to participate in their In-person commencement ceremony on April 24 at the Holt Arena. This commencement is also open to Spring and Summer 2021 graduates and any previous graduates affected by the changes due to COVID-19. Seating is limited.

Meridian In-Person Commencement

ISU-Meridian will be holding two in-person commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 8 at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. at the Mountain View High School Stadium. Both events will be live-streamed.

Idaho State to Resume In-Person Instruction

With the increase in availability of the COVID -19 vaccine, ISU has opted to open its campuses to full operations this fall session. Health protocols such as face covering and physical distancing will remain enforced until further notice.

Tech Expo - College of Technology

Idaho State University's College of Technology is hosting a virtual Tech Expo on Thursday, March 18 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 3 – 7 p.m. Tech Expo is a large open house style event giving prospective students the opportunity to engage with all 30 + programs the College of Technology has to offer. During Tech Expo, students can explore programs, watch videos, participate in a scavenger hunt to win prizes, tour the shops/labs virtually, and chat with instructors live.

Financial Literacy - College of Business

Idaho State University's College of Business has announced a new program that offers students a course to learn about financial stability. The program will begin in January and include a radio show and podcast format.

2021 ISU Undergraduate Research Symposium

Abstracts for the 2021 ISU Undergraduate Research Symposium are being accepted now through March 20. The symposium will be held on Zoom April 8, 2- 4 p.m. Posters will be available for viewing on a separate platform.

Event Host

This workshop will do a quick overview of emotions and explore why understanding our emotions is so important for wellness and quality of life.

Talk Saves Lives - Suicide Prevention Training

Talk Saves Lives is a 90-minute education program created through the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention that provides participants with a clear understanding of this leading cause of death, including the most up-to-date research on suicide prevention, and what individuals can do in their communities to help save lives. Participants will learn common risk factors and warning signs associated with suicide and how to keep themselves and others safe.

Weekly Wellness: Finding Direction Through Our Values

It is not only important to have a direction in life but YOUR right direction through meaning and purpose. Values are like the internal road map that guides us on what decisions to make and when to make those decisions. Join us for a workshop that explores your values and ways to implement them into your decision making process.

Phi Kappa Phi Scholarly Lecture

The ISU Chapter of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi invites you to our Annual Scholarly Lecture. We are excited to have ISU Distinguished Teacher Mark McBeth, Professor of Political Science present on “Polarization, Pandemic, and Parables.” This lecture will be presented via a virtual zoom link on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 7 p.m.
