Thinking about applying to medical or dental school?

The Pre-Health Professions Advising Office has a committee that can evaluate your application materials, and provide a mock interview and feedback on how to strengthen the application. Materials will be accepted from Dec. 1 to Feb. 1.

Cory Scoffield named Career Path Intern of the Month

Idaho State University student Cory Scoffield, who is pursuing his degree in surveying and geomatics engineering and surveying technology, has been honored as ISU’s November Career Path Intern of the Month.

Highlights of his internship with the Idaho Transportation Department include hiking through waist-deep snow, and near misses with rattlesnakes. The work Scoffield is doing, however, will be forever preserved as public record at county courthouses. Read more.

Service Opportunity: The Salvation Army has designated Saturday, November 28, ISU Kettle Bell Ringer Day. ISU alumni, faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to sign up for one of the many two-hour shifts available at multiple locations. Put on your Bengal gear, grab some friends or family, and represent ISU in this annual tradition that assists families in need during the holidays. Masks, gloves, kettle, and bell supplied. To sign up, call the Pocatello Salvation Army at 208-232-5318.

Virtual Fun Run: Pocatello Student Physical Therapy Association is sponsoring a Virtual Turkey Trot Fun Run. The proceeds go to support items including student supplies, club events, and scholarships for national meetings and continuing education. Funds have also been used to help address physical therapy needs in our community. Read more.
