COME ON LET'S HAVE A BALL ON SUNDAY AUGUST 18TH:

Calling all FASHIONISTAS! Bring your sense of style to the 2024 ROCCREW Naiades Rowing Over Cancer's 12th Annual Golf Scramble Tournament and have some FUN! This year you may enter your team in the best dressed or most comically dressed team contest. (Participation is optional.) Your peers and volunteers will be voting.


The tournament is on Sunday August 18th, at the Lima Golf and Country Club in Lima, NY. Registration starts at 10:00 AM!


Raffles, Prizes and loads of laughs on the course with our rowers and volunteers! 

Choose to play 18 or 9 holes. 

12:00 PM Noon shotgun start!

Divisions are Men's/Ladies/Mixed and 9 Hole

SUMMER 2024 SEASON UPDATES:

We had a ton of fun at the Friday July 26th, 2024, Rochester Red Wings, Wilmot Cancer Center and ROCCREW's Cancer Survivors Night!!! So glad we got to meet some of you!

WITH SINCERE GRATITUDE:

Stephanie Taylor has served ROCCREW in many ways over the years as a coxswain, and a coach. In addition, we have come to know her as a friend. Stepanie will be moving on to a full-time career, as coach for Nazareth University's Rowing Program. We would like to thank Stephanie for guiding us along the water, making it fun, and also let Stephanie know that we are so proud of her!!! You will be missed.

UPSTATE NATIVE MAKES FINALS IN OLYMPIC ROWING

Megan Musnicki, 41 years old, from Naples, New York, member of the US women's 8 cruised to the rowing finals today August 1st. Megan is a graduate of Ithaca College and the oldest woman to row in the Olympics. This is Megan's fourth time in the Olympics. Go, Megan!!!


AUGUST IS THE MONTH FOR STARS, SMILES & FUN!:

August is ideal for spotting shotting stars. The annual Perseids Meteor Shower will be Sunday August 11th into the morning of Monday August 12th. Don't miss it. Look for it on the water!

WE NEED COXSWAINS:

It's an important job! Need extra cash? We are seeking experienced coxswains for the remainder of our summer and fall rowing sessions until mid-October, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 5:30pm to 7:45pm.
