“How can they believe… if they have not heard (akouō = understood by hearing)?”
(Romans 10:14–15)
“So wherever you go, make disciples of all nations (ethnos = every people group)…”
(Matthew 28:19)
Nearly 2,000 years have passed since our risen Lord commissioned His disciples to share His good news with all peoples everywhere. Yet today, multitudes remain in the Unreached People Group (UPG) category, having no Christian witness among them to patiently proclaim and explain the gospel story and message. And yet, so many of these untold millions have smartphones and internet connections. Are you equipped to bless some of them this year?
ROCK Resources
ROCK International has cross-cultural gospel and discipleship tools in 115+ languages in audio, video, digital, and print formats (see above graphic showing some media tools produced in 2025, all available online). We also have, for example, the KING of GLORY movie (in 60+ languages) embossed cards with QR codes, which are readily received by people of our own nation and from other nations with whom we connect daily in the marketplace of life. [www.rockintl.org/rock-refugee-flyer] But does the availability of such gospel media by itself fulfill the Great Commission? No. While many people from many worldviews have turned to Christ after absorbing, understanding, repenting, and believing God's creation-to-Christ story and message — such online resources play only a part in carrying out Christ’s commission. Making disciples of all peoples takes incarnational servants of Christ to connect with them, listen to them, understand them, love them, teach them, and walk with them (1 Cor. 9:19-23; Matt. 28:18–20; Acts 14:21–27). As the incarnate Word Himself put it, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest” (Matt. 9:35–38).
ROCKids
South Asia: In this new year, we ask you to pray over a wonderful opportunity where God has opened a door for (ROCK-connected) workers to lead, train, and teach in a pre-K to 12th-grade school located in a strategic, densely populated metropolitan area. This school teaches from a biblical worldview and serves hundreds of students from influential families shaped by long-established religious traditions. At present, there is a need for additional English-speaking teachers and, most urgently, a guidance counselor. Thank you for joining us in praying the Lord to call certified, creative, godly teachers with a heart to bless these youth and their families.
Tanzania: Thank you too for your continued prayers and crucial partnership for the Tumaini Jipya (New Hope) Girls’ Secondary (Boarding) School, which has just entered its fourth year by adding its Form 4 class (12th-grade), making it a complete high school. We praise God for all He is doing for, in, and through these New Hope girls.
West Africa: In Senegal, God is at work in minds and hearts through local believers via radio, medical, educational, vocational, sports, and other relational ministries. Meanwhile, since last month's update, in Niger, the door for expat workers has closed. Pray for national believers, amid hardships and persecution, to stand firm for Christ who is with them always, even to the end of the age! (Matt. 28:20).
May God use each of us in 2026 to bless — for time and eternity — those who have not yet understood the gospel, and to equip those who have. Thank you for your partnership for an understood and obeyed gospel worldwide.
