A voluntary, county-wide collaboration focused on improving health,
health equity, and health care for Washtenaw's low-income, uninsured,
underinsured, and underrepresented populations.
Congratulations to the Recovery Opioid Overdose Team (ROOT), a program of Home of New Vision! ROOT works with several partner organizations, including Huron Valley Ambulance, Trinity Health Ann Arbor, Michigan Medicine, the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office, and local emergency departments to provide support to those who have overdosed within 24-72 hours of the incident.
The WHI sunsets two projects: MMOE and UNITE. In November, the steering committee voted to sunset the Medicaid and Marketplace Outreach and Enrollment (MMOE) workgroup and the Unified Needs Assessment and Implementation Plan Team Engagement (UNITE) project. Both groups have built strong networks and accomplished their initial goals. Learn more about their work, partners, and history.
