Revenue Neutral Rate Public Hearing

The City has put together information that explains what will be discussed at the Revenue Neutral Rate Public Hearing scheduled for August 22, 2022, at 6 p.m. at City Hall on the City's mill rate and how it follows the Kansas Legislature's Senate Bill 13 requirements. The Governing Body plans to lower Roeland Park’s mill rate, just not to a revenue-neutral rate.

Cooper Creek Neighborhood Meeting

The City would like to invite you to attend a neighborhood meeting on August 17th, from 6-7 pm at the

Roeland Park Community Center, 4850 Rosewood Drive, to discuss the Cooper Creek stream

located between Ash Drive & Roeland Drive, 57th St to Johnson Drive. The intent of this meeting is to provide information to residents that border Cooper Creek in response to concerns of the stream condition and to explore how the city and residents can partner together to improve the stream way.

During the meeting, the city will provide a presentation that will show the current conditions of the

creek, identify constraints or hurdles associated with improvements as well as possible options to consider. City staff along with the city engineer and landscaping professionals with be available for questions at the end of the presentation.
