From Pastor Brian's Desk
Hey, Riversiders!

Last week was a breath of fresh air as our Sunday school classes resumed and people carefully filed into the Education Building again. Those of you in attendance did a nice job of following our safety guidelines and staying at a safe distance—thank you! For those who weren’t able to attend last week, please feel free to sign up this week. Click on the blue button below to RSVP for our in-person Adult Classes as you do to attend Worship in person.
For those of you who prefer to keep your distance and are following online, please feel free to tune into Sunday School via Zoom on Sunday morning. You can also go back and watch the Sunday School classes. All of this can be found by clicking the blue button above or by going to I’ve heard a great deal of good things about the class offerings, so know that it will be well worth it to tune in.

Thanks, again, for your patience with us through some technical difficulties. Managing our livestream is an ongoing process but we are learning new things every week. The same goes for the sound, which we are actively working on, and which, I am confident to say, is improving. The hybrid format for Sunday School worked well on Sunday, and we will continue to monitor its effectiveness.

Despite the challenges the pandemic continues to present, ministry and worship continue here at RPC and for that we give God thanks! I’m proud of our staff for their diligent work, and grateful to all of you for your continued engagement, whether carefully on campus, or digitally from your homes. Our prayers continue for each of you, that you would stay safe and well!
Grace and peace,

Riverside is considering becoming a
Matthew 25 Congregation
This month, Riverside's session will vote on becoming a Matthew 25 congregation. This is a vision and invitation to congregations from the PCUSA " to act boldly and compassionately to serve people who are hungry, oppressed, imprisoned or poor." The three main focuses of this initiative are building congregational vitality, dismantling structural racism and eradicating systemic poverty. Many PCUSA churches are already part of this movement.
College Secret Pal Recruitment
As RPC's students head to college this fall, we want to continue to love and support them with Secret Pals.

If you are willing to correspond with one college student this year, please contact us!
