SPECIAL COURSE ANNOUNCEMENT
July 26, Vehicle Defense Tactics.
Ontario Rod and Gun Club, 2523 Trimble Rd.

This class will fill up fast. If so, I will TRY to schedule another one In August or September.
We spend a lot of our time in or around our vehicles. Driving on vacation, to or from work, running errands, just about everything we do involves a vehicle of some sort. Have you thought about how you would handle a defensive situation while in your vehicle? A carjacker? A mob of protesters turned violent? Do you play the ‘what if’ game when you are at a light or just driving? Do you have a planned response to various threats?
We will cover topics such as the readiness mindset, what gear you should have in your car, what you should take with you, how to use your car as a sanctuary, how to leave it if required, and more.
With a mix of dry work with dummy guns and live fire work, this class will get you to think about your vehicle in a new way. We will discuss the physics behind using a vehicle to escape an encounter, how to shield yourself, how to deploy your firearm from anywhere in your vehicle, and how to exit your vehicle in a safe but rapid manner.
What you will need:
- Eye and ear protection (wrap-around eye pro is HIGHLY suggested)
- A handgun in working condition
- 400 rounds of ammunition (minimum)
- A CCW type holster (the one you wear in public – no ‘training’ or game rigs)
- 3 magazines
- Elbow pads (optional)
- Comfortable clothing and footwear (long sleeve shirts and pants are a must!)
- Water and snacks
- A bag lunch

Note: As of 4/4/2012, ANY holster that utilizes the index or trigger finger of the shooting hand to disengage a locking device to release the handgun is now disallowed from ANY Rochester Personal Defense, LLC class, training, event, or any function that we host or have involvement with.

Have you ever wondered what it takes to become an NRA-Certified Rifle Instructor? It takes Knowledge, Skill, and Attitude. If you have all three, you may be a good candidate for the next Instructor Development Workshop (IDW).

| Armed Citizen's Rule of Engagement

I am proud to be hosting
Massad Ayoob of the Massad Ayoob Group (MAG) for his world class MAG20 Classroom session.
This is a two-day, 20-hour immersion course in rules of engagement for armed law-abiding private citizens, emphasizing legal issues, tactical issues, and aftermath management.
THIS IS ONE OF THOSE COURSES YOU DO NOT WISH TO MISS!!!!
Topics will include interacting with suspects, witnesses, responding police officers...threat recognition and mind-set...management of social and psychological aftermath after having had to use lethal force in defense of self or others...and preparing beforehand for legal repercussions and minimizing exposure to them. Situations in the home, at the place of business, or "on the street" will all be covered.
Lunch will be provided by Rochester Personal Defense, LLC on both days.
Tuition is $550 for both days. You can register by check (call for details), by credit card (3.5% fee applies), or call me and we can arrange a 'Friends and Family' payment via PayPal.

Hey everyone, I am looking to offload the following handgun. I don't shoot it and it isn't going to be my main carry, so I want someone to use it.
First up is a CZ 75B in 9mm. This is a full sized 9mm handgun. This is a super accurate, reliable, and easy to shoot handgun. It's in great condition and has maybe 500-600 rounds through it at best. It comes with two 10rd magazines, the box, and all the paperwork. $600 and it is yours!!

A Note About Gun Sales in this Newsletter

The guns are here in the Rochester area. I'm not willing to travel all over the state to sell it. You'll have to get here. If you are out of NY State and wish to have it sent to you, the cost of the gun, any shipping (overnight/next day), and any FFL to FFL fees are on you.
The buyer MUST be able to legally receive the handgun.
All funds will have to be cleared prior to shipment as well. Payment in full is due when you want the gun. I'm not a dealer that can do layaway payments. I won't hold it on a promise. Cash in hand gets the gun.
The transfer will have to be done at an FFL dealer.
You, the buyer, will cover the costs for the FFL fees.
If need be, I can take a Friends and Family GIFT payment for your 'New Adopted Buddy'.
If you wish to do a check, it will have to clear and be validated before we transfer the gun.
If you require more pictures, ask and I will send them. I'm not looking for trades or a barter. I have plans for the funds already once this sells.

You're safe until you're not. For a lot of people, a comfort level exists because they live in a low crime area or they work at a relatively safe job, etc. I learned a long time ago that denial is a soft fuzzy blanket that we wrap ourselves in - and it's an unsafe state of mind. There are predators among us who will take every opportunity to do whatever it is they want; all they need is the chance. We'll train you to be prepared and stay safe.
