Hello!
I’m excited to announce that I have joined Renne Public Law Group as Of Counsel and Head of Investigations. With years of experience as a workplace investigator and former employment and housing law litigator, I look forward to bringing my expertise to this dynamic new practice. I’m also delighted to reunite with Chair Louise Renne, with whom I worked at the San Francisco City Attorney’s office, and to collaborate again with Partners Jon Holtzman, Art Hartinger, Linda Ross, Amy Ackerman and their incredible team.
Our team conducts workplace investigations for both public and private employers, addressing complaints of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, bullying and other alleged misconduct.
In my previous practice, I published a quarterly newsletter called the Investigator’s Blog. I’m thrilled to continue this tradition at RPLG with the first edition of the RPLG Workplace Investigator’s Blog! This quarter's edition will dive into the new employment laws for 2025, provide tips on conducting investigations with Spanish-speaking employees who have familial ties and explore best practices for assessing credibility during investigations. Plus, I’m sharing a cherished family recipe for Caldo de Pollo, perfect for warming you up this winter.
I hope you find it informative and enjoyable.
Happy New Year to all of you,
Karen Carrera
