The RPM Racing Team again saw three riders on the circuit this past weekend with racers at the AMA National Grand Prix in Nevada and the US Sprint Enduro in West Virginia.
AMA National Grand Prix Championship | Round 5 | Primm, NV
RD. 5 of the AMA National Championship made the trek to Primm, NV for a rough, sandy, and dusty weekend of racing. Suiting his type of terrain, Mateo Oliveira #831 got out front early and started to build a gap; however, a first lap crash cost him dearly and relegated him back to third. The KLiM athlete rallied to pass for the lead on lap three and never look back to take the win. Kaitlyn Jacobs #293 struggled throughout the weekend and didn't quite have the pace of the top three, leaving her with 4th in Women's Pro.
US Sprint Enduro Championship | Round 6 | Fairmont, WV
Gus Riordan #12A is continuing to make gains on the East coast and this past weekend's US Sprint Enduro showed it. A test win, several tests within mere seconds of the win, and consistently fast times saw Gus finish 2-2 over the weekend for 2nd Overall in Pro 2 and 5th Overall.
RIDER QUOTES
Mateo Oliveira
"Had another good day in Primm ripping the holeshot and getting out front early. I got a little front brake happy on the pavement and went down, tearing up my side pretty good. I was able to get going in third and slowly work my way into the lead and salvage the day even with a tweaked up bike. I'm stoked to keep the streak going despite the adversity today."
Kaitlyn Jacobs
"Not the race we wanted, not the results we wanted, and it's not what we work for. I'll be back and ready to keep fighting and turn this year around."
Gus Riordan
"Happy with a second place at the Sprint Enduro this weekend. The racing was close and I was able to adapt okay to the terrain. "
