RPN and Massachusetts Win Award for Nation's Largest Green Cleaning Supplies Contract
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts and RPN received a  Leadership Award for a Special Sustainable Purchasing Initiative  at the SPLC 2016 Annual Summit for their collaborative effort creating the nation's largest multi-state cooperative purchasing agreement for environmentally preferable cleaning supplies and equipment.  More

SPLC Announces Winners of Its 2016 
Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Awards
SPLC recognized 12 organizations and one individual (Dana Arnold of the U.S. General Services Administration) for their leadership in sustainable purchasing. The award winners, which include RPN and many of its members, implemented a wide range of successful sustainable purchasing strategies and documented the resulting environmental, social, and/or economic benefits.  More
Green Electronics Council Announces  38 EPEAT Sustainable Purchasing Award Winners
The Green Electronics Council announced 38 winners of its 2016 Sustainable Purchasing Awards. The procurement of EPEAT-registered computers, printers, copiers, and TVs saved these winners $16.8 million in annual energy costs and reduced greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions equal to taking nearly 30,000 passenger cars
off the road for a year

New York State Issues Progress Report on Green Procurement
The State of New York's Fourth Progress Report on State Green Procurement and Agency Sustainability describes how it is meeting its sustainability goals - while saving money. In FY 2014-2015, New York State spent $93 million on green products and services, including copy paper with at least 30% post-consumer recycled content, 100% recycled-content janitorial paper, re-refined motor oil, EPEAT-registered computers, certified low-toxicity cleaning products, PVC-free/recycled-content floor coverings, solar electric systems, recycling services, etc.   More
