Our New Office Pollinator Patch Is Planted!
Our Pollinator Patch Program is gaining momentum, and we have been building a โ€œbuzzโ€ with local schools, municipalities, and individuals. However, we know itโ€™s important to bee sure we practice what we preach! That said, we are proud to share our new Office Pollinator Patch! ๐Ÿ๐ŸŒผ

What used to be low-habitat turfgrass is now a highly-diverse pollinator paradise!! ๐ŸŒป These vibrant native plants will thrive for years to come and offer high-quality nectar in larger abundance than the non-native plants that used to occupy this area. They are also equipped with long root systems that fight erosion and soak up stormwater runoff before it ever hits the pavement!
Steps One and Two:
Remove Turfgrass and Cover With Cardboard and Mulch
Step Three: PLANT!!
Success has been immediate, as bees and moths are already making regular visits. ๐Ÿฆ‹ As our own native plant expert, Nan Calvert likes to say,
"If you plant them, they will come!"
