A Message from Rev. Maxted

Dear RRCC members and friends,

I pray this "Notices and Reminders" email finds you and yours safe and well, and I look forward to seeing you on my computer screen on Sunday morning as we worship once again via the Zoom video conferencing tool.

Gary Collier will host our worship service (orchestrate the Zoom controls). Linda Glover will serve as our Worship Leader, and the elders at the communion table will be Jackie Switzer and Anna Marie Blair. There will be a few minutes at the end of the service for fellowship, which means that everyone will be unmuted at that point.

You'll find the link to join the worship service in the box immediately above this one. Also, we'll re-send the link in another email shortly before worship beings on Sunday morning (around 10:30 a.m.). Use either one to connect to worship. They will be identical.

Also, I encourage you to take advantage of the helpful information provided below regarding shopping for groceries, as well as accessing updated information from the Austin Regional Clinic. Just click on the links.

See you on Sunday!
Peace in Christ,
Pastor Mitch

For surely I know the plans I have for you,
says the Lord, plans for your welfare
and not for harm,
to give you a future with hope.
Jeremiah 29:11

Helpful Guidance On Groceries During the Pandemic

Even while faithfully following the STAY HOME STAY SAFE guidelines, we still need to eat! Obtaining groceries--whether that's in-store, curbside pick up, or home delivery--all carry some risk of contamination with the coronavirus. Click on the link below to view a 13-minutes view on how to greater reduce your risk of contamination in obtaining food. The presenter is a Michigan physician.

For many years, a faithful group of RRCC members have gathered at the church on Wednesday afternoons to pray. These prayer warriors pray for our members, their families, our neighborhood, our nation, and our world.

They continue to meet on Wednesday afternoons, but through Zoom video conference (just like we're doing worship now). Let Rev. Maxted know if you'd like to "Zoom in" to pray with them at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesdays.

Lloyd and Marilyn Davis prayed faithfully with our Caring Hearts team for many years. In fact, Marilyn was the one who named this ministry "Caring Hearts." Many others have participated over the years as well.

Here's Another Way to Help the Round Rock Area Serving Center

Here's a free, easy, and important way to help the Serving Center's Food Pantry:

"We are in need of plastic bags. We are going to leave purple barrels in front of the Furniture Store (west side of the building)* to collect your bags. You can just drive by, toss your bags in and drive off. You will not have to get out of your car.

*ADDRESS: 1099 East Main St, Round Rock

Thank you so much for your help."

If you want to send a check in place of your weekly food donations, you can mail it to:
