Dear RRPS Community,
The Rio Rancho Public Schools (RRPS) Board of Education is continuing to work on the process of redistricting for school board member districts. (This process does not impact school boundaries.) This is a process that draws, or redraws, lines that determine which voters are represented by each district. School districts are required to redistrict every ten years, after the release of the U.S. Census population data. The data was released this past fall, and the RRPS Board began reviewing board member districts earlier this year.
At the April 11 Board Meeting, the RRPS Board reviewed six options provided by Research & Polling, Inc. The RRPS Board narrowed the options to three--Option B, Option D and Option E--to move forward for public comment.
If you are interested in reviewing the options, you may do so using the links provided below or by visiting the City of Rio Rancho Loma Colorado Main Library at 755 Loma Colorado Blvd NE in Rio Rancho between the hours of 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Thursday or 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The maps will be available Friday, April 15 through Saturday, April 23.
