RRSPs After Age 71
By Jason Watt, CD, CLU
Here we are in February! Every advisor’s favourite season – RRSP season! Somehow Costco and Walmart don’t have an RRSP display and have somehow paid more attention to Valentine’s Day. At BCC, though, we are acutely aware of RRSP season. February is normally our slowest month of the year, as many of our clients are focused on RBonnRSP contributions.

I was amazed to learn how little I really knew about the "elder" generation. The EPC course is full of thoughtful, valuable information and facts that will help my discussions with clients be more in-depth rather than just financial. Taking the course through the Business Career College was very time efficient, yet thorough and enjoyable... 5 stars to BCC.

After completing my CFP designation through the Business Career College, my next goal was to achieve my EPC. The course outline allowed me to both focus on my business & take the course at the same time. Bob Watt, instructor, instructed in a way that I could implement the course material immediately into my practice and get results. Bob cares about each every student in his course and it was the same when I took the CFP course with his son Jason. Can’t say enough about BCC, they are leader for financial services learning.

I would highly recommend this designation program to anyone who wants to diversify their practice and enhance their ability to work with elders with compassion and understanding. I enjoyed Bob sharing his knowledge & insight during the EPC seminars. It was fantastic to hear his stories and analogies and they were so pertinent to the information covered and definitely made for some thought-provoking conversations! I look forward to the opportunities that this designation presents.
-Sharlene Bell, EPC, CPCA

I took my LLQP and EPC at BCC and the teachers Jason Watt and Bob Watt are both knowledgeable. I enjoyed Bob Watt's stories; with years of experience come words of wisdom. I am recommending BCC because it's worth every penny you spent.

LLQP Comments
Bob Watt, EPC
Here we are 1 month into a new year and a new decade. We have already delivered 2 LLQP classes, one live session in Edmonton and 1 webinar for people from across Canada. The focus for the 1
st
seminar of each year since the inception of the current LLQP structure on January 1, 2016 is to incorporate the changes into the subject matter delivery that the course authors come up with each year. In the fall of each year the course authors, AMF from Quebec, release the latest edition which is currently the 6
th
Edition. There will always be updates based on changes in law, taxation, insurance products and insurance practice. This commitment to keep things current is one of the positive aspects of the current LLQP study program.
