RSA Students Bring Home 14 Medals from the NJIT 2018 Science Olympiad Tournament!
Our RSA middle and high school students competed in the Northern NJIT 2018 Science Olympiad tournament last Friday, January 12th. Mashaallah, our young scientists brought home a total of 14 medals! Takbir! Special thanks go to all RSA teachers who coached and supported the students all the way! Al-hamdulilah,our students made it to the State competition which will take place on March 13th at Middlesex County College. We wish our students the best of luck inshaallah!
Look What's Happening at RSA...
3rd Grade Broadway Trip
Sr. Tamam's third grade students took their annual experience of a lifetime to watch a Broadway performance for the well known novel "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." The students, parents, and teachers enjoyed the experience of a live performance, like always! Special thanks to the parents who chaperoned and helped fund this field trip.
Physics Students Visit to NJIT Lab
Br. Ahmed's Physics students got the opportunity to perform their Physics lab experiments at NJIT's Physics lab last week. Experiments included projectile motion as well as Newton's Second Law of Motion. RSA students used the lab's equipment to run the experiments, record their data and analyze their results. Another visit to NJIT lab is scheduled in February inshaallah.
Dreaming Like MLK!
Sr. Yuri and Sr. Sumaiya's Classes celebrated Dr. Martin Luther King's Birthday with learning about how this important leader changed our country. They watched his famous "I have a dream" speech and wrote about his dreams, their dreams, and hopes they have for the future as Muslims in the United States.
MIST Assembly at RSA
Representatives from MIST NJ (Muslim Inter-Scholastic Tournament) organization came today, Thursday January 18th to share with our 8th through 12th students information about this youth Muslim organization. MIST offers a fun, educational, interactive program of competitions and workshops geared towards bringing Muslim and Non-Muslim high school students together from around the nation to develop leadership, communication, and other creative skills, all while gaining a deeper understanding of Islam and Muslims.

MAP Winter 2018 Assessment
January 22 - January 25
Students in KG through 8th grade will be taking their MAP Winter assessment. For more information on resources for parents, please download the   MAP Growth Parent Guide  or visit the   Parent Toolkit Site  to access resources and videos about MAP Growth. We will follow a 12:00 PM dismissal during midterms and MAP days.
9th -12th Midterms
January 22 - January 25
High School students will be taking their midterm exams. Study guides and midterms schedule were shared with the students. We will follow a 12:00 PM dismissal during midterms and MAP days.
Picture Retake Day
January 30, 2018
Students who need to retake their pictures or were absent during our portrait day can take them again. Also, our school-wide picture will be taken the same day. All students are required to wear their regular school uniform. No gym uniforms!
Snow Tubing Trip
February 13, 2018
Our annual snow tubing trip is around the corner. Students who are interested in joining the trip should return their forms to Br. Abraham before tickets get sold out.
