Eid Mubarak! We hope you all enjoyed the joyous days of Eid-al-Fitr.
Ramadan is a month of community, compassion and generosity. Eid-al-Fitr marks the culmination of this holy month with joyous celebrations. Together Ramadan and Eid promote unity, diversity, and strong faith.
The Prophet (saws) said,
"angels on the day of Eid stand at the alleys and paths and say, 'rush to the Generous Lord who gives great blessings and forgives great sins."
May all the celebrations and joyous moments of Eid be cherished forever, and may Allah continue to bless the RSA and NHIEC community.

As we move on to the last quarter of the school year, we would like to commend all the sincere efforts of our staff, students and parents for their hard work and commitment . RSA students with the guidance of our dedicated staff went above and beyond within the school classrooms and across many extra-curricular activities.

Rising Star Academy Honor Society students with the guidance of their advisor Sr. Tamam organized an Iftar Campaign in Ramadan for orphans in refugee camps! Mashaallah, all the student body, staff and parents worked diligently to support this blessed campaign. Mashaallah, all contributions sponsored two Iftars in two orphan refugee camps in Lebanon and Afghanistan! |

In support of Wafa House's Eid Toy Drive Giveaway, RSA Honor Society students participated by running a toy drive in school during Ramadan. NEW toys were donated to add smiles to the faces of many children as they celebrated Eid-Al-Fitr! |

Ramadan 1444H Quran Competition |

Masha'Allah, our annual Ramadan Quran competition was a great success. Many students from Pre-K -12th grade competed in the competition and displayed their love for Quran during the holy month of Ramdan. Jazakum Allah Khair to our Quran teachers Br. Said Nawabit, Sr. Nesreen Alsurkhi, Sr. Ghada Soliman, Sr. Lujain Thaeir and Sr. Nisreen Al-Abassi. Special thanks also to the judges Sheikh Mustafa Goodah, Sr. Sumaiya Amro and Sr. Nema Okfi who joined us in our special day. |

RSA Students Excel @ the NJIT & State Science Olympiad
|
|
Our RSA Middle school and High school Science Olympiad teams joined the NJIT 2023 Regional tournament and moved on to the States tournament at Middlesex County College in March. Masha'Allah, our students came home with a total of 16 medals from the two tournaments as they excelled in many of the events. Special thanks to our dedicated Science Olympiad coaches Br. Tahar, Br. Said, Sr. Samia, Sr. Assia, Sr. Sanna and Sr. Hadeel. Your dedication and support to our young scientists is greatly appreciated. |

RSA's MUN Team Shine @ Saint Peter's MUN Conference |

On Monday and Tuesday, March 6 and 7, Saint Peter’s University hosted its 32nd Annual High School Model United Nations Conference (HSMUN). RSA High school students participated in this year's HSMUN and came home with six gavels as they received multiple Honorable Mention Awards. Congratulations to Rising Star Academy Team and their coaches for receiving the Outstanding Delegation Award in recognition of their many achievements at SPU HSMUN 2023. Special thanks to Sr. Fatima Musabeh for coaching the students and guiding them as they prepared for this event, and for the advisors Sr. Fadia Darwish, Sr. Nehaya Ewais and Sr. Samar Said for your support during the conference days. You made us all proud of your outstanding achievements! |

Another special day at RSA in March is Pi day. On March 14th, our middle school students enjoyed an afternoon of activities and math challenges that focused on the Pi number, 3.14. The activities were concluded with each student decorating his/her freshly baked pie and enjoy eating it. Special thanks to Sr. Sanna Ahmad and all the staff members who made this day fun and enjoyable! |

In our annual Arabic Language Day, Pre-K to 9th grade students had multiple performances revolving around the beauty of the Language of the Quran - our Arabic Language. RSA parents, students and staff enjoyed a morning of anasheed, words of wisdom , poetry reading and much more. This year again, Mayor Brian Stack was generous and kind to provide our KG-3rd grade students the opportunity to attend a "Fire Safety" magic assembly that was presented at RSA. Our students enjoyed the interactive assembly that included skits, music and magic tricks that helped educate our students on the important fire safety and injury prevention skills. At the conclusion of the assembly, each of our students received a complementary red helmet as a gift! Greatly appreciated Mayor Stack! |
