It has been an exciting winter at Rising Star Academy. Thrilling events and instructive activities across all grades and subject areas are witnessed.  Keep the positive momentum going as you continue to grow RSA!

Truly a beautiful and special night where we remembered our loved ones who supported RSA from the very beginning. 
 

Alhamduallah, our family, alumni and students were out in full force, making this evening a special night to remember.

Mashallah, with every marking period, RSA acknowledges its Rising Stars!  Keep up the great work everyone!

Snow Tubing Adventure 
Our annual snow-tubing trip was a blast! Jazak Allah Khair Br. Abraham for putting this trip together and giving RSA students a fun-filled day out!
 
100 Days Celebration:

Subhanallah!  Who can believe that we are already 100 days into the school year!  The days are flying by and we growing, learning, and laughing with every new day! 




 

We are 100 days smarter! 
Honor Society Induction Ceremony

Students who excel academically and model exception behavior are welcomed into the National Honor Society.  Our Honor Societies include the elementary, middle and high school chapters.  



Keep smiling and achieving! 



 


RSA Debate Team Achievements

The RSA debate team has traveled to Princeton, New Jersey and Chappaqua, New York to compete in the East Coast High School Parliamentary Debate League.  This league, the first on the East Coast functions under the umbrella of the English Speaking Union.  Alhamaduallah, RSA has received 3rd place in two of the three tournaments.


We have two more competitions left!  Our next will be in Connecticut and then the finale will be in California, inshallah.  If you'd like to support us, please do so on our Gofundme page!  And above all, keep us in your duaa!

RSA Students Shine in PACC Poetry  Competition

RSA students participated and won multiple awards during the Palestinian-American Cultural Center's poetry competition.  With the support of the PACC center the students enjoyed receiving their prizes and sharing their poetry in a special evening. 


RSA Science Olympiad Team Moves to the State Tournament

Congratulations for bringing home 12 medals from the NJIT Regional tournament! The hard work of our students and great coaches has paid off, RSA moves on to the New Jersey State competition!

Honor Society Christmas Toy Drive
As part of the commitment of the National Honor Society to social service, honor society students collected, wrapped and distributed toys to during the holiday season. Toys were given out to St. Joseph's Pediatric Care Center in Hoboken as well as the Children's Hospital in Hackensack.




4th & 5th Science Museum Trip

The elementary students enjoyed a day out at the Sterling Hill Mining Museum.  Students came back with a nice collection of rocks and minerals to keep!





Escape Room Seniors Trip

Critical thinking, strategy and team building was the name of the game during a Senior trip to the Escape Room in Hackensack.




Bingo Night

The Honor Society also brought back Bingo night! Students and parents alike had a blast playing B-I-N-G-O! 

 
 
KG Pajama Party

After learning about the P sound, the Kindergarten class celebrated a Pajama Party! 




The students dressed in Pajamas, brought a favorite stuffed animal or Pillow to spend the day with them, watched a movie and ate Popcorn!
Pre-K Bike Day

On your mark, get set, GO! Pre-K students learning about the Arabic letter "dahl", brought in a "daraja" (bicycle).  It was a fun way to incorporate learning, and physical movement!
