2025 Model Schools Conference

Ridgeland Secondary Academy of Excellence Middle School is proud to announce its selection as a Model School at the prestigious 2025 Model Schools Conference taking place in Washington, D.C. June 22-25. Hosted by the Center for Model Schools, this highly anticipated event honors forward-thinking schools that drive transformation, inspire change, and implement groundbreaking strategies to improve student outcomes. 

Chosen from a competitive group of schools nationwide, RSAE Middle School has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to student success and innovation. By fostering a culture of collaboration, ambitious instruction, and continuous improvement, the school exemplifies excellence in education. 

"We are honored to be recognized as a Model School at MSC 2025," said Adrienne Maybank, Principal at RSAE. "We believe that every student matters and every second counts and live our school’s theme “Better Together” each day as we work collaboratively to chart a path of success for our students.” 

As part of this distinguished recognition, RSAE Middle School will present Rapid Reading and Math Rescue at MSC 2025, engaging with over 5,000 educators to share insights on creating positive school culture, engaging in data-driven decision making and using interventions and personalized learning to improve student achievement.

Ridgeland Elementary Career Fair

Ridgeland Elementary School hosted a successful career day program on Friday, March 21, 2025, for students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The RES Career Day program was structured to align with the South Carolina College and Career Readiness Standards as the event focuses on helping students explore career paths, while igniting their curiosity and broadening their aspirations. Students at Ridgeland Elementary School were given an opportunity to learn about various career paths, explore career interests, and engage in meaningful conversations with community professionals, entrepreneurs and business owners who graciously supported the event. The event was also supported by the Jasper County School District CATE Center. This was especially significant in that their participation allowed students to see they can overcome barriers and achieve great success beyond post-elementary and secondary education.

RES Educational Pageant

Ridgeland Elementary School's 5th grade hosted an educational pageant where students showcased their knowledge in English Language Arts (ELA) and demonstrated their math skills on stage. The RES Educational Pageant was both fun and impressive, providing students with a chance to enhance their demonstration of knowledge, public speaking and performance abilities. Later today, the top 5th graders will compete in the final round of the pageant. We will make sure to update you on the winners once they're announced.
