Dear RSU 21 Community,

It is the final full week of October and Halloween is nearly here. Our community has many exciting Halloween events happening next week, so be sure to scroll through the rest of this newsletter to learn about a few of those activities. As many of you know, Summer Street in Kennebunk will not be closed to traffic as it had been in previous years. However, the town is temporarily reducing speed limits on that stretch to increase the safety of trick-or-treaters and their families. Please check the town's website for more information.

As we close out another week, I want to take a moment to reflect on the horrific events from exactly one year ago today when 18 people lost their lives in the Lewiston mass shooting. It is hard to believe that it has been a full year since that tragic evening. Everyone was affected by the events of that day in some way, and my heart goes out to those who lost a family member or friend.

Enjoy the weekend!

Much love,

Terri Cooper
