Dear RSU 21 Families,

I am excited to invite you to our first Family University session of the year! We will gather on November 25th from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. for an evening of learning and community building. This is a wonderful chance to connect with other families in our area and pick up some new parenting tips and tools.

Please RSVP here by November 20th if you can make it. I sincerely hope to see you there! We always have such a great time at these events.

Flynn Family Foundation Donates

$12,500 to MSK for Camp Kieve

The Board of School Directors on Monday approved receipt of a donation from the Flynn Family Foundation for $12,500 dedicated to continuing MSK's trips to Camp Kieve.

"We are so very appreciative of the overwhelming support of the Flynn Family Foundation and Elisabeth Roberts," said Principal Marty Bouchard. "This scholarship money will help support over 150 MSK students to attend Kieve next school year. This gesture is one of extreme kindness and generosity."

"We are deeply grateful for the generous funding towards supporting our MSK students' journey to Camp Kieve," said MSK Kieve Leaders Andy MacLeod and Nick Costello.

"Your kindness and support will make it possible for these young minds to embark on an unforgettable adventure filled with growth, learning, and team building. Thank you so very much!"

KCT Survey on Education Programs

The Kennebunkport Conservation Trust (KCT) is making plans for their future and is seeking input from community members. 

As a member of the RSU 21 community, KCT invites you to take a survey to provide your thoughts on the education programs that KCT provides to RSU 21 students. 

Your input is very much appreciated. At the end of the survey, you can enter to win a $50 Visa gift card! 

M.L. Day PTO Harvest Fest a Success

It was a beautiful, sunny day filled with kids running around in face paint, climbing on the fire truck and coming back to the food table for a second sweet treat from Holy Donut.

Families enjoyed games, music and a free lunch including meats donated by Hannaford, accoutrements by the PTO and 200 donuts from Holy Donut. 

"In our goal to create a sense of community for our school in Arundel, this event gave families and teachers the opportunity to simply show up as they are to meet each other; sometimes for the first time," said PTO President Tiffany Bates.

"I got to serve warm cider and thank people for coming. There was an overwhelming sense of gratitude from folks for the reschedule, especially in light of the tragedies in Lewiston. Families appreciated the space to gather. Thank you to the board members who came to say 'hi' and to facilities for the amazing grill and keeping the doors open for bathrooms--and to Principal Gail Keith for her endless support in our efforts as our organization grows."
