Dear RSU 21 Families,
Happy Friday to all! We just completed our first full week of school. As I interacted with students, I can see that this week wasn't any different than the previous two...students continue to nicely adjust to routines and procedures!
Our Schools' Newsletters are in place to keep you up to date with the latest and greatest news. We continue to strengthen our home, school, and community communication to ensure that you are well informed of district happenings. Check out this week's news to see how we celebrate and can support each other. As you know, we are always Better Together.
Recently, we have experienced a few short-term absences in our transportation department. Although we are covering routes now, a driver call-out/absence will require us to immediately pivot in our operations. This pivoting will result in delayed and/or canceled bus routes. A plan has been developed should this happen in the future. Please see the letter from our Transportation Manager, Chris Pasciuto, that was sent out earlier today. We continue to actively recruit potential drivers...if you know potential candidates, please pass those names on to the Transportation Department.
We are anticipating stormy weather this weekend. Please be sure to stay safe and dry--and power up those devices should we experience power outages.
Much Love,
Dr. Cooper
