Laugh & Learn Updates

Our Preschoolers are continuing their journey of learning about different cultures around the world. This year, they’ve stamped their classroom passports in Mexico, Thailand, Germany, Canada, China, Ireland, Egypt and the Netherlands. This month, we’re moving on to Jamaica to learn about the region, language and culture- including the history of pirates. Just like a Pirate’s treasure map, Preschoolers have been busy looking for the “X” that marks the spot, included in much of our literacy and classroom material and lands toward the end of the alphabet that they’ve been familiarizing themselves with this year. We’re fortunate to be able to learn about different cultures throughout the year, on top of our literacy and numeracy awareness that we work on in Preschool!

In Before and After care, we’re soaking in the extra daylight and in some locations, have extended our fresh air time in the afternoons to include snack picnics. We’ve enjoyed nicer weather and shifted some of our interests to outdoor games, and talks of spring & summer. With additional outside activities pick-up up again, please be sure to message your child(ren)’s teachers on Procare with any attendance updates.

Registration for the coming school year is now open! Visit the Laugh & Learn page on our website for more details and to begin the registration process;

Laugh & Learn programs are growing so fast that we’re looking to add more teachers to our team! You can view and apply for this fun and fulfilling position by visiting this link. Questions? Please reach out to: ChildhoodEd@rsu5.org
