RSVP Now for Mackinac Island Weekend!
|
|
ATTN: ALL FULBRIGHT ALUMNI, VISITING SCHOLARS AND FELLOWS, FRIENDS AND FAMILY FROM ALL OF MICHIGAN AND BEYOND: YOU ARE WARMLY WELCOMED!
On September
8, 2018
the Fulbright Association will welcome Fulbrights and Friends for our first 2-day / 1-night weekend at the 2018
#1 Summer Destination in the USA according to TripAdvisor.com: Mackinac Island.
Historic Mackinac Island was the original second U.S. national park and continues as the only park of its kind. Cars are banned and pedestrians, horse carriages and bikes prevail on the scenic waterfront state highway. Unbelievable but true!
The Fulbright and Friends 10:30 AM sharp ferry ride to the island will pass beneath the Western Hemisphere's longest suspension bridge with anchorages, connecting Michigan's Upper and Lower Peninsulas at the Straights of Mackinac connecting two Great Lakes. See the world's longest porch and experience the storied culture and history of Mackinac Island and stay in a nice Mackinaw City hotel overnight with a full breakfast.
Hotel rate is normally $149, but the Fulbright rate for those who RSVP by 8/24/18 pay only $80 per room accommodating 2 to 4 (up to 40 rooms); ferry rate is normally $17 per adult, but Fulbright rate, if you are on our RSVP name list, will be only $8.50 per adult.
RSVP here for the Weekend in Mackinac!
