RSVP Digest

August 2022
Volume 1: Issue 2
Welcome
Janet McCoy, RSVP Manager
Summer is coming to an end and autumn is just around the corner. Like January, August is often a time of fresh starts and new beginnings. Our summer vacations are ending and grandchildren are returning to school.
RSVP in Escambia County is also experiencing a fresh start. This initiative is funded by an AmeriCorps Seniors grant and a three-year cycle ended on June 30, 2022. So we are in the first quarter of a new grant cycle extending through June 2025.

RSVP will be rebooting, revising, and/or re-energizing numerous parts of the program based on new government regulations and the lessons learned from the pandemic. Please let me know if you would like a voice in those changes.

At the moment, we need RSVP members, agency staff, and community representatives to serve on the Advisory Council. RSVP members are also needed to help plan December's holiday party.

Please consider these opportunities to give back to RSVP and the community agencies we support. Contact [email protected] to volunteer.

Yours in Community Service,
Janet
