RSVP Digest

July 2022
Volume 1: Issue 1
Welcome
Janet McCoy, RSVP Manager
Welcome to the first issue of the first volume of the new newsletter, "RSVP Digest." This publication will be distributed near the beginning of each month for members and supporters of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) in Escambia County.
July is a busy month for RSVP members. Lots of new opportunities are being posted on the "Get Connected" volunteer platform that matches volunteers to service needs. This includes the upcoming "Stuff the Bus" event to collect school supplies for Escambia and Santa Rosa School Districts on July 21.

July is also when preparations are made for the Annual Meeting for United Way of West Florida. Tickets for this August 11 event are $20/person. The theme is "Meet Us on the Red Carpet." RSVP members will make the centerpieces for this movie-themed event at their monthly luncheon on July 27.

Contact me at [email protected] to learn more about RSVP and how to become involved as a RSVP member or host site for volunteers. Happy July!

Volunteer Spotlight: RSVP Lunch

RSVP members and guests made "Cute Critter" table favors for clients at UWWF partner agencies at the June "RSVP Lunch: Learn and Serve." Plastic eggs were used as the base. Ribbon, yarn, felt, pipe cleaners, and wiggle eyes were added to create critters with unique personalities!
