On May 3rd President Biden proclaimed May 2021 as Older Americans Month. As we work to put COVID-19 behind us, RSVP’s goal is to continue to ensure that seniors living in the rural, frontier and wilderness communities of Nevada - can live independently, and age with dignity.

We hope everyone will join us this month as we honor our senior citizens, learn from them, and offer support to help improve their quality of life and their futures.

RSVP gives a special shoutout of gratitude to the NV Energy Foundation for the grant to help Nevadans impacted by COVID-19.

The RSVP Emergency Response Services for COVID-19 Recovery project supports independent living strategies with the delivery of door-to-door escorted transportation for access to medical care; dissemination of Personal Protective Equipment for clients, care recipients and volunteers; and COVID-19 resource information.
This lifesaving project provides senior citizens, Veterans and adults living with an illness or disability who are social isolating during the COVID-19 pandemic with critical services to help protect their health, safety and quality of life.

Thank you NV Energy for your partnership and community support!
Volunteers Can Help Reduce Client Waitlist

The gap between clients needing services and volunteers available to provide the service is growing larger. RSVP’s client wait list currently includes 221 individuals who have been deemed eligible for services in areas such as: homemaker, companions, transportation, and personal emergency response systems. Volunteers are needed and appreciated! Join our team of volunteers, help reduce this waitlist, and make a positive difference in service to others and your community.
