MARTA DELFA

Marta Delfa was born in the heart of the Penedès wine region, home of the Miguel Torres winery.

She studied German at the University of Barcelona and spent a two year immersion in Frankfurt, Germany. As a student, she worked in her family’s business while independently gaining experience in the local wine industry. Before finishing college, she also spent time abroad in Ireland improving her English.

Marta began working directly at the Miguel Torres winery in 2007. With extensive experience in presentations, wine tourism, client relations and a very

well-developed knowledge of Spanish wine, in 2011

she was promoted to the Torres Global Brand Ambassador. In late 2014, Marta embarked upon a new adventure with Torres, relocating to the US, in the key role of Torres US Brand Ambassador & Educator. In November 2020, after 13 years working for Familia Torres, Marta took the next step in her career. Marta signed on with Familia Torres US Importer, Wilson Daniels, as their first ever Spanish Portfolio Specialist. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge in Spanish wine, culture and industry contacts.

Marta is a Sommelier by trade and a tremendously passionate wine enthusiast at heart. Ever since she started working in the wine business, she has participated in numerous wine tastings, seminars, food festivals and continually taking, and hosting, wine and spirits educational courses. She is WSET advanced certified and a member of an exclusive club with some of the best oenologists and wine producers of the Penedès region. She enjoys travel, is a culinary aficionado and has an insatiable love for conversation.

Executive Chef

Executive Chef Jose Torres is as talented as he is inspirational. Having grown up in Coachella Valley with roots in the farming community, Jose developed an affinity for fresh ingredients and bold flavors. Over the course of his 12 years at Classic Club in various culinary positions, Chef Jose has evolved as a chef to produce cuisine that seamlessly marries Asian, Hispanic and Californian flavors with hints of Mediterranean influence. Chef Jose creates thoughtful and thought-provoking dishes that strive to be authentic to his style while relying on ingredients that appeal to a broad spectrum of consumers. Chef Jose is a passionate innovator who has dedicated his career to continuously growing and learning as a professional and finds his greatest joy in bringing new and exciting menu items to the team and the guests at Bellatrix and Classic Club.
