ABOUT THE HOST

The Albion Hydroelectric Plant, located on the Blackstone River in Cumberland, Rhode Island, is a small-scale hydropower project using Archimedes screw turbines. It generates 2,034 megawatt hours of electricity annually, enough to power around 400 homes. The project revitalizes the existing Albion Dam, redirecting its flow through two Archimedes screws to produce electricity.
